Loughborough College is striving to be one of the leading colleges for sports provision in the UK. The sports opportunities currently provided by the college are constantly being increased in quantity and quality, by the sports development department and sports delivery team. There are a number of sports opportunities ranging from high standard competitive teams to recreational sports and volunteering.

Competitive Sport

Loughborough College Sports Development Centre operates a number of competitive teams at a high level. We have development centres that have been running for 9 years and some that are recently established. Our Development centres are working in partnership with professional clubs and national governing bodies to increase the provision of high quality development and competition and allowing our students to achieve their potential.

Enrichment

The college runs an enrichment programme that provides sports opportunities all through the week that can be accessed by everybody in the college. These clubs and societies are for recreational sport, although there are a number of intra-college tournaments that run throughout the year as a result of the enrichment clubs. The principle behind the programme is to enjoy sport at the same time as keeping fit and healthy to complement study at the college.
